Seeking the coveted V-shaped jawline? High Society Clinic launches the state-of-the-art InMode Machine technology to achieve a sleek, sculpted look.

It’s no secret that Koreans are ahead of the game when it comes to beauty and skincare technology, and this is certainly the case with achieving the sought-after V-shaped jawline. Hong Kong beauty junkies will be delighted to learn that High Society Skin Clinic has launched the revolutionary InMode machine, bringing the latest state-of-the-art aesthetic technology to our doorstep.

And what a doorstep it is — as soon as you step out of the lift you’ll be transported to pamper town with uber-feminine decor fit for a princess. The serene beauty haven is decked out in pastel pink and plush touches that will make you feel like you’re floating on a cloud. Their friendly, experienced team put you instantly at ease, walking you through the treatment and asking questions about your current regimen to identify potential risk factors.

The Initial Consultation

After mentioning that I use retinol products in the evening, my therapist asked for more details to determine the levels of radiofrequency she could use with the Inmode machine. The treatment comprises a suite of applications powered by bipolar RF technology,  High Voltage Pulse (HVP) and patented, clinically tested A.C.E. Technology to achieve a V-shaped jawline, skin contouring and fat reduction. Despite it being a relatively low dose, over-the-counter retinol, my therapist advised using a low setting to avoid any adverse reactions, and I appreciated the team erring on the side of caution to prioritise safety.

HVP safely induces fat cell death through a process called electroporation, which occurs when they are permanently damaged and then naturally eliminated through the body’s metabolic pathways. Meanwhile, A.C.E. Technology controls and monitors the skin’s temperature to ensure it is at the optimal therapeutic level for collagen remodelling to produce maximum lifting and tightening results.

The Forma Mode & MiniFX Mode Treatment

The treatment begins with a full cleanse so your therapist can work on squeaky clean skin before going in with the Forma mode, which stimulates collagen production using thermal energy to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. This part was so relaxing that I fell asleep instantly (I know because I woke myself snoring!), slightly lulled into a false sense of security as the more intense MiniFX mode was up next — when both modes are combined, they more effectively target stubborn fat for a more sculpted, youthful appearance.

But better results often mean increased sensation and this is certainly the case for the MiniFX mode which feels like suction and heat ending with a slight stinging, that’s perfectly manageable (if you’ve had HIFU before, it’s significantly less painful in comparison). It uses radio-frequency energy to target the voluminous fat pads commonly in the lower part of the face and double chin. Midway through the treatment, the therapist gave me a mirror to see the difference between each half of my face, and the appearance of the treated side was visibly snatched!

Inmode treatments are quick (you’re in and out in 30 minutes!) and non-invasive with no downtime necessary, so you can squeeze in a lunchtime session and get straight back to the office. After a slathering of moisturiser and SPF, I was sent merrily on my way. The clinic followed up with aftercare instructions which included avoiding sun exposure, harsh scrubs and excessively sweaty workouts for a few days, essentially the same amount of time it takes for the redness to calm down.

The Results?

While my oval face shape means that my jaw and chin are naturally more angular, I noticed an overall firmer complexion, which I am certain after the recommended three to six bi-weekly sessions (ideally every six to nine months) will only have improved. Studies indicate that Inmode treatments can achieve up to a 30% improvement in skin tightness and texture to combat the signs of ageing, and this would be particularly noticeable for those who have a different face shape. The versatility of the Inmode machine means that it can also be used on the body for contouring, delivering the same sculpted results that can be customised to perceived problem areas.

The experts at High Society Skin Clinic are experienced at personalising treatments to achieve your beauty goals and boost your confidence safely and efficiently. Best of all, there’s no need for surgery or hopping on a flight to Seoul to experience the fat reduction, skin tightening, and V-shape benefits of the InMode machine, the latest buzz in innovative aesthetic technology.
