I’m sure you had a pretty rough go at the Sevens. Let’s face it, no one comes out unscathed. You probably had a great time dancing and chanting and laughing with friends, but you also probably had your Katy Perry/Where’s Wally/Smurf costume drenched in beer… and let’s not even begin to talk about the beating your hair and skin took! Even if you managed to avoid the South Stand, it’s likely that you ended up throwing back a few cups of Pimms, or scarfing down some fried chicken, right? Well, good news! Our March beauty finds are all about putting you back together again. From skin to hair to scent, we have you sorted with our Top 5 Beauty Picks this month…

Rene Furterer Paris Naturia Dry Shampoo
Ok – you should definitely wash the beer out of your hair. But if your hair just needs a pick me up between parties then reach for this Rene Furterer dry shampoo. The scent is pleasant and with only a few spritzes can refresh your style with ease. Part your hair down the centre and spray a line at the roots, then spray each side part, one spritz around the hairline, run a brush though it and go! Most other dry shampoos I’ve tried leave a white residue on brunette hair and this one is the best thus far, however you’ll still want to brush over the final product to blend it in. Now you can be out the door in a blink and no one will believe you were sporting an Iggy Azalea blonde wig just moments before!

Now to freshen up those eyes I have two products here that will leave you more looking more alert (i.e. less hungover!). The first one is this intensely rich and hydrating eye cream that works to combat those dark circles. Every night before bed and every morning when you wake up, pat this thick cream on. It contains Vitamin C and light diffusing pearls – simply apply around your eye area for a soothing feel and brighter look. I have been using it for about two weeks and it has become the first thing I reach for in the morning due to how soft and supple it leaves my skin, making my make-up application that much easier.

Product number two to combat the signs of the Sevens is a bright white eyeliner pencil, which will instantly brighten your look. The pencil is creamy and glides on smooth, making application a breeze. Open up your eyes by lining the inner lower rim as well as the inside corners of your eye. To pump up the effect even more, add a drop of Visene (or any other red reducing eye drops) before you apply your make-up to reduce the redness of the veins in your eyes. These eye drops also work wonderfully at reducing the redness of a pimple!

An easy way to bring your look back to life is by applying a thick gloss in a girly shade. This gloss set from By Terry provides you with four supple shades and one pearly gloss, great for using alone or on top of any other lipstick in your bag. The glosses all smell like roses, which caught me off guard, but once I got use to it I came to find the smell calming and luxurious. My two favourite shades are #1 and #3, the pale pink and strawberry hue respectively, as they are sweet and girly and look good with any outfit.

Oh the scent of the Sevens… let’s just pray no one bottles it up and sells it! Instead let’s apply something far, far better – and fresher. I received a sample of this scent and stuffed it in my wallet for emergencies, but found myself reaching for it time and again, bypassing all the scents displayed on my vanity. The fragrance smells of mandarin, rose, and pistachio and is exciting and intoxicating. It’s feminine and a little spicy, just like me!
