The Paris Summer Olympics 2024 is just around the corner and Hong Kong has several Olympians in the lineup! Ranging from swimming to fencing to athletics, see all the Hong Kong athletes competing across 13 sports in France this year.
At the last Tokyo Olympics in 2020, Hong Kong athletes brought six medals home, including a gold from Cheung Ka Long in Men’s Foil (will he repeat the impressive feat this year?) and two silvers from Siobhan Haughey, one of Hong Kong’s favourite swimmers (how is she only 26 years old?). Will Hong Kong beat its own record this year, who knows? But we know who we’ll be cheering on! There are a total of 35 Hong Kong athletes competing in this year’s Paris Olympics, read on for the full details.

Hong Kong Representative In Athletics
Run, Felix, run! Hong Kong didn’t have anyone qualify for the Paris Olympics Athletics sport, so the World Athletics organisation gave 24-year-old sprinter Felix Diu the opportunity to compete in one of the ‘universality’ spots which are allocated for under-represented countries to increase diversity in the Games. Diu will be facing off against some of the best runners in the world in the Men’s 100m, but is personally hoping to beat his own record of 10.33 seconds.
