Taking the business of coffee drinking to a whole new level, NOC Coffee Co. really are the experts when it comes to the humble coffee bean. With seven locations across Hong Kong island, including its own roastery in Sai Ying Pun, the knowledgeable roasters and baristas ensure that you get a perfect cup every single time. But if you don’t know where to start when it comes to choosing between nutty and fruit blends, or have no idea what a single origin is, this masterclass is for you. Covering everything from a brief overview of coffee bean sourcing and roasting, to an introduction to coffee tasting, and a blind tasting of NOC’s house blends and single origin coffees, the 60-minute workshop will not only give you a base knowledge of the wonderful world of coffee, but will also help you discover what flavours and blends you like best.

Led by NOC master roaster, Sam, the workshop can be held in either English or Cantonese, and leads coffee fans through how to taste coffee and what characteristics to look out for, to tips on home brewing and facts about different beans. Your palate will be put to the test when it comes to the blind tasting, which will feature NOC’s House Blend No.34 and No.18, along with three single origin coffee. We love the rich, nutty and heavy-bodied flavour of the No.18 house blend, but the class will give you the chance to find out exactly which flavours and which coffee it is that you prefer. After the tasting session, you and your friend will each receive a free bag of your chosen beans, and using the brand’s new eCommerce platform, you can then purchase your favourite house blend, or try and new single origin every month and get them delivered directly to your home or office.
