Uma Nota
Warm yourselves up at the town’s favourite Brazilian-Japanese infusion as it offers hearty new dishes and Brazilian spirited cocktails this month. The Caldeirada de Frutos do mar ($280) is a seafood dish made from local and fresh ingredients including tiger prawns, octopus and squid – all cooked to perfection and served with coconut rice. The new cocktails ($100) pay homage to the spirit of Brazil with a rum-like spirit, and to its Japanese roots with coffee infused sake!

CATCH
CATCH has always been a brunch staple, so when we heard about the brand new dinner menu, we were more than keen to check it out. Each dish is stocked with fresh flavours, and the menu is bursting with pops of colour and unique twists. Think: burnt octopus with chorizo and beetroot mayo, spicy sea bass laksa with crispy enoki mushrooms, halloumi and hazelnut quinoa – and much more. Our favourites included salmon tartare with avo cream; and the tobiko mayo and crab fries, topped with a runny egg and a generous scoop of truffle caviar. For dessert, pair the hot cinnamon doughnut balls with any of the loose-leaf teas for a warm, decadent finish. And as a bonus, if you head over on a Monday, starters come free with every main, and happy hour runs until 8pm!
