Tired of late nights out in LKF? Well, for a change of scenery, why not head over to Quarry Bay for a night of music and fun? For those of you who love a bit of indie pop, come check out cool local band The Weathering! This Hong Kong based duo will be having a party to celebrate the release of their debut album The Sea Cares For Its Own tonight – so grab a few music lovers and enjoy their laidback tunes, plus some drinks from the wine bar to get you in the mood! Want a little taster? Check out the duo’s latest music video, December Lights, filmed at our very own Shek O beach here!

Foodie alert!
It’s that time of year again – Hong Kong Restaurant Week is coming! The bi-annual foodie feast runs from 25 February until 3 March this year, but the website goes live at 4pm next Wednesday and Sassy’s here to remind you to start planning ahead! Many restaurants slots get booked out sharp-ish so don’t miss out on amazing deals and special lunch and dinner set menus at some of the best restaurants in town, including Sassy faves  DiVino Patio, The Salted Pig, Blue Butcher and Harakan-S. So set your alarms for next Wednesday to snag the best meals in town!

New year, new look… and a giveaway!
Time to get excited, ladies! British beauty brand Boots is hosting a gorgeous mobile makeover on Valentine’s Day – and all onboard one of Hong Kong’s iconic trams! Their special beauty parlour tram will be touring our fair city during lunchtime, dishing out glam makeovers, insider tips and demos from celeb make-up artists and complimentary Boots No7 goodie bags. The Sevens are coming… and another giveaway!
The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens will be in town on 22-24 March so don’t forget to register fortickets for the craziest weekend of the year – this time, the system has changed meaning there isn’t a 9am scrum (and subsequent crash) at HKTicketing but instead a much fairer public ballot. The deadline for registrations is Monday 4 February, so if you haven’t put your name down, do it here now!

On show this year is a “Chocolate Mansion” – a house built 100% of chocolate with chocolate doors, curtains and, best of all, a chocolate sundae bathtub (alas, not edible for the general public!). Chocolate masters from across the world will be performing live demonstrations, gourmet international brands (like Fauchon, VERO and Prestat) will be selling exclusive sweet treats at their kiosks and loads of brands and restaurants (including Ladurée, Jean Paul Hevin, The Library Café, Vi Cool andCaffè Grecco) will be creating a range of special chocolate-themed dishes. It’s the perfect excuse to stock up for Valentine’s Day… or Easter… or just whenever!
