Thought January was going to be dull? Think again. We’ve got some very cool arty events lined up for this weekend, from a traditional Cantonese opera performance to a night of art and beer… and let’s not forget that sneaky dim sum party in there too! In the run-up to CNY, you know HK’s got loads going on… find out about it all in this week’s Weekender!

unnamed-3Two kinds of craft…
Like art? Like beer? Then we’ve got the perfect event that combines the best of both! Art & Beer is staying true to its title with loads of quality craft beers and ciders from Bestbev HK to drink, plus a great selection of local art collected by Twentybliss on display too. This cool event sounds like a great Friday night alternative – so you can unwind with a few bevvies and feel cultured at the same time! We’re all about supporting local businesses and we love the sound of these two (well, who doesn’t love beer and art?), so head down to hip café and exhibition space Boom for a night of delish beers, awesome artwork and lovely people!

When: 17 January, 7.30-10.30pm… TONIGHT!
Where: Boom, G/F, 48 Sai Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
How much: Free
