Sweet and Sour Productions is staging Over The Rainbow, Under Ethel: The Story of Judy Garland and her Mother, a new dark comedy by Candice Moore that digs into the complicated bond between the woman who pushed the star into the spotlight, while featuring iconic songs from Garland’s Hollywood classics. Rather than another straightforward tribute to Garland’s career, the play looks at the relationship behind the fame — the ambition, the pressure and, perhaps most ominously, the price of stardom. It’s the kind of intimate, character-driven storytelling Sweet and Sour has built a reputation for on Hong Kong’s independent theatre scene.

Netflix “Meat Gangster” Chef David Lee Collabs With The Steak House
Hong Kong is in for a treat! The Steak House at Regent Hong Kong joins forces with the Hanwoo Association and Netflix’s “Meat Gangster”, Chef David Lee, for a mouthwatering four-hands Korean feast. Showcasing Korea’s legendary marbled Hanwoo beef, the menu dives head first into decadent bites like king crab salad, uni-topped Hanwoo tartare on brioche and a smokey kimchi seafood bouillabaisse. Cosmoprof Asia 2026 Returns To Hong Kong

Cathay • WestK Jazz Fest 2026 Brings 10 Days Of One Of Asia’s Top Jazz Events
WestK Performing Arts’ annual flagship music event is back this November for its eighth edition. This time, Cathay · WestK Jazz Fest spans two weekends and features 10 days of exceptional music and cultural experiences, bringing together over 100 local and international musicians. Headliners include Kenny G (returning to Hong Kong for his first performance in 18 years!), alongside Grammy winner Diana Krall and jazz vocalist Stacey Kent, while guitarist Cory Wong teams up with local harmonica champ Cy Leo for a groove-heavy set. There’s also plenty of newer talent to catch, from Korean vocalist Song Yi Jeon and rising Italian jazz pianist Francesca Tandoi to Hong Kong’s own JACE and guitarist Teriver Cheung. Beyond the ticketed shows, the M+ Green Lawn becomes a Music Healing Zone – Groove Grove, complete with sound bowls and harbour breeze!

WestK Performing Arts’ Spotlights The Hidden Hands Behind Haute Couture With LACRIMA
After an extensive international tour, French-Vietnamese director Caroline Guiela Nguyen is bringing her acclaimed, three-hour drama LACRIMA (“Tears”) to Hong Kong for the first time, presented by WestK Performing Arts. The play dives into the the invisible labour behind the haute couture industry, following three artisan groups: a head seamstress in a Parisian couture house, lacemakers in Alençon and a master embroiderer in Mumbai. As the couturiers endure punishing hours, hidden struggles and a strict 100-year secrecy oath to create a wedding gown for the British Royal Family, live cameras and split screens pull the audience intimately into the workers’ physical and emotional strain. This marks the first time WestK Performing Arts has presented a predominantly French-language theatre production, so you can rest assured this will be a cultural experience you’ve never had before.
