UPDATE: We now have an opening date for TOPSHOP HK – 6 June, 2013! Ranges they’ll definitely be selling include their Unique line, Boutique line, designer collaborations, their famous range of jeans, their make-up range and their trend-led mainline collections. There will also be items exclusive to the HK store, including collectible t-shirts and beanies.
In the run-up to the opening, the TOPSHOP Fashion Truck will be taking to HK’s streets with the latest fashion news and sneak peeks, free treats, lucky gift cards and TOPSHOP’s magazine. Meanwhile, opening day itself will kick off with live music, giveaways and appearances from special guests, with Sir Phillip Green coming to cut the ribbon at 5pm! Launch celebrations will continue throughout opening weekend.
More good news?! TOPSHOP will also be opening a concession in LAB Concept later in the year. Yippee!
IT. IS. COMING.
Yes, after years of wishing, hoping and praying, TOPSHOP is FINALLY coming to Hong Kong!!!
In a stellar partnership with LAB Concept (the contemporary retail division of Lane Crawford), TOPSHOP will be opening an amazing two-floor 12,000 square foot store in the Asia Standard Tower on Queen’s Road Central in May 2013 – where that unfathomably huge Chinese Arts & Crafts shop used to be. Move over Abercrombie & Fitch, Central just got seriously cool!
Just in case you weren’t sure (or had forgotten… or had been sleeping under a rock for the past few decades) why TOPSHOP is so amazing – we’re talking highly covetable fashion-forward pieces at accessible prices that even the A-List drool over, uber-cool designer collaborations (past alumni include Kate Moss, Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane, Louise Gray… need we say more?!), the in-house designed Topshop Unique collection that shows at London Fashion Week (the only high street brand to do so), and a total indescribable it-factor that means this is THE most exciting news to hit the HK fashion scene since we can remember.
The ground floor of the Hong Kong store will feature two distinct rooms – the first showcasing TOPSHOP’s signature fashion lines (they do the best skinny jeans and dresses) against super-cool raw concrete and glossy white décor, and the second featuring the brand’s accessories (we LOVE their jewellery) and in-house make-up line (cute polka dot packaging and great quality for the price).
Upstairs, there will be a dedicated shoe lounge (yippee!) with custom glass fixtures and a mirrored ceiling, whilst there will also be a by-appointment Personal Shopping Area offering the full VIP treatment in a dedicated suite off the main floor – girlie shopping sprees, here we come! Check out the full artist’s impression of how the HK store will look above.
LAB Concept will be using their HK expertise to take care of the retail space, staff and other operational know-how, whilst TOPSHOP will be managing the merchandising – meaning we should be getting all the newest and coolest stock stat. Yep, no more tiny concessions or having to wait ages for a delivery from the website – they’re going big, and we couldn’t be happier! Sorry boys, there’s probably no TOPMAN for now – but that just means all the more for us girls!
So forget those desperate trips to Singapore to quell your TOPSHOP urge… ditch those longing hours spent stalking the website… TOPSHOP is opening right on our doorstep and will be here before we know it – and in significant style to boot. We can’t wait!
TOPSHOP will be opening in Hong Kong in May 2013 in Asia Standard Tower, 56-65 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.

High time it arrived here.. its already in KL and Singapore.
Too excited for words. Finally…yay *jumps*…I just PRAY it has western sizes and the prices are not overly inflated. Bring over Zara to Central from IFC2 an life is GOOD!
soooooo excited! this news made my day!
Yeah! Great news!
I bet crazy rent for their location. Sign, it’s hard being a city that’s so money driven.
hehhehehehe for the editorial team, hehehe, happy new year.
This is absolutley fantastic news, but will it really be the full range (not just the flimsy Kate Moss nonsense) and most importantly, will they stock much in size 12 (UK) and above? Their UK stores have pretty much every item up to a 16, but the minimal range in LAB concept in Queensway is all size 6 and 8 – may as well be dolls’ clothes.
Sassy, as the official voice of the normal-sized expat with $$$ in her pocket who is itching to do some high street shopping, please get on to Philip Green asap and remind him that it’s not all skinny minnies out here!
Hey!
Given this will be a proper two-store TOPSHOP, as opposed to a concession in a department store, they will definitely have a big range of a full range of TOPSHOP in-house lines and clothes – we’ve detailed the specifics we know in the article. It sounds like it will be bigger than several of the other Asian stores, although we probably can’t expect Oxford Street levels of stock!
There’s no word on sizes yet but once we know, we will definitely pass on the info!
Hopefully there will be a bigger range of “Petite”, I’m sure the Petite range will be popular amongst (me!) HK, I can’t wait to go to HK!!!
On-line purchased was made 2 weeks ago and 28/3 before the gds shall be arrived. however no tracking no. Was provided after the order was made. The fee was charged my credit card.i asked for help by email to topshop but they did not reply. What can i do?
Hi Gi
We are not related to TOPSHOP in any way. I would suggest trying to get in touch with TOPSHOP via email or phone (see their Contact Us page for details: https://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContactUs?catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&krypto=bw2BpuZQvDIRSMcapRzCKRTYcZWphgekPB9P4i5WnH6rHbYJVmVymQ%3D%3D&ddkey=http:OrderCalculate) or via their Facebook or Twitter pages. Thanks!
And one hopes that the new Topshop will not fall into the same problem that plagues H&M in HK. Where you get in-house buyers, stocking up on only the small sizes and all the plain and boring OL office gear.
I hope they could have as many varieties as their online shops. The shops in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are just so dull that you don’t even bother to buy any of them. The prices are not attractive either compared to the online shop. I hope Topshop in HK could do a better job in terms of merchandizing and pricing just as Zara in HK does.
What date does topshop open in May?
Hi Christy
We don’t know an exact date yet and have heard it might be June. We will update the site as soon we hear anything for definite!
Dear topshop,
Please do hurry up.
Many thanks,
Jen
It’s may now, but they are still in construction…Do you happen to know exactly what day they are opening?
“We now have an opening date for TOPSHOP HK – 6 June, 2013! ”
“TOPSHOP will be opening in Hong Kong in May 2013 in Asia Standard Tower, 56-65 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.”
So you mean opening date for TOPSHOP HK – 6 June, 2013 or in May 2013 in Asia Standard Tower, 56-65 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.??
If the opening date is on 6 June what is the opening hour??I really can’t wait !I have to be there!!!
Hi Nini – The updated opening date is at the top of the page in bold (June 6 2013)!
Maki – we updated our original article (with the projected May 2013 completion date) with the latest update, which is that the store will open on June 6, 2013. I believe the actual ribbon cutting is at 5pm but it sounds like there will be all kinds of fun things going on before then too!
Is it opening at 5PM or is Sir Phillip Green just coming at 5pm?
Hi Nini
Sir Philip Green will be ‘cutting the ribbon’ at 5pm (so I presume officially opening the store) but it sounds like there will be lots of activities in the lead-up to it on the day.
