Sassy’s Summer Wishlist – some last-minute summer inspiration

At Sassy, we’re still basking in the last few weeks of summer (the odd typhoon not withstanding) and what better way to spend it than with a little bit of virtual shopping!

So with that in mind, we created our Sassy Summer Wishlist – a few of our favourite things that we hope find their way into our wardrobes before that final sundowner cocktail. Here’s hoping you find some last-minute summer inspiration!

I am currently 8 months pregnant and I confess, I am a bump hugger. I have spent the past few months in clothes that show off my baby bump and while my husband would totally argue that I don’t ‘need’ another summer dress to get me through the last few weeks of pregnancy, I don’t think I can resist snapping up this Mamalicious Printed Bodycon Vest Dress.

I also love a nice cross body bag in the summer and often gravitate to this hands-free option when the temperature rises. I actually don’t think I own one pastel item in my wardrobe yet so this Cambridge Satchel in Lilac would be a nice addition and I can totally see it easily transitioning to fall when paired with a chocolate brown leather jacket (which just so happens to be on the tippy top of my fall wishlist!).

I know black and white might not be the most summery of colours but how can you not love the oh-so-slimming cut and cheeky slit down the back of this BB Dakota Krista Dress? It’s perfect for after-work cocktails (like these ones!).

I’ve heard such good things about this Yes To Carrots Cleanser and have wanted to switch my current cleaner for ages now. Filled with carrot-y goodness and Dead Sea minerals, it sounds like just what the doctor ordered!

Pockets? Check. Sleeves? Check. Loads of outrageous in-your-face colour and on-trend floral prints perfect for summer? Check, check, check! This Whistles Victoria Floral Dress is destined to end up in my shopping cart.

I showed a picture of this Stila Countless Colour Pigment to Vivien and her response was ‘Great – what is it?!’ In all honesty, I’m still not entirely sure… but I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and multiple-colours-in-one palettes, so this really does tick all my make-up boxes.

Summer is the perfect time to wear a subtly sexy sheer dress and this Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Dress would take me from brunching at the beach to dinner, cocktails and beyond with little more than a change of shoe! Let’s not forget to mention that the neutral colour palette could carry it into fall with the addition of over-the-knee boots and a motorcycle jacket – yay!

This ring combines all of my favourite things – it is large and in charge, a mix of metals and monogrammed too! If you have ever received a letter from me, then you’ll know that I love to seal them with a wax stamp. With this Personalised Wax Seal Ring, I can sport my seal 24/7!

This gorgeous Levi’s Made & Crafted Wanderlust Maxi Dress reminds me of deckchairs… but in a good way! I’ll be styling this with an ice cream in my hand, on my way to a beach BBQ.

I’ll be teaming my maxi with this gorgeous tooled leather Editor’s Star Pouch by Ela in juicy apricot. I tried to resist the lure of the leather, but it is called an editor’s pouch, after all…
