Now that the skies are clearing and the weather is warming up here in Hong Kong, hands and feet are on full display. Your nails will be one of the best accessories along with a pair of fabulous sunnies and sandals! So which colours are worth flaunting this summer?
We asked The Nail Library to give us the lowdown on all the trending shades for this season. There are a lot of whites and different shades of pastels popping up for the summer that you can choose from. From baby blues and fresh mints to gorgeous corals, and don’t forget those bold vibrant statement colours too! Time to nail that summer look!

1. Baby blue

2. Tom Ford Spring 2014 Nail Lacquers – Sugar Dune, Coral Beach, Incandescent and Indiscretion (Limited Edition)
Leave it to Tom Ford to get the colours right… again! Any colour from this range of four shades with the limited-edition white caps are perfect for this Summer. Sugar Dune is an extremely chic lavender-nude cream, the ideal shade all year round. Coral Beach is a semi-sheer coral cream colour that will have you dreaming of the beach. Incandescent is a metallic pink gold mixed with silver tones that are sure to sparkle in the sun. And finally there’s Indiscretion, a bright bold pink that will give you a burst of bright colour for summer!

This season’s pastel colours are richer with more chalkiness… think pretty macarons. Our favourite 5-free brand, NCLA from California (which has been hard to keep in stock this season!) has an excellent range of pastel colours. 4. Bold colours
Bold colours are on-trend this summer, from rich yellows and intense pinks, to greens and purples. These shades are perfect for both fingers and toes alike! If you can’t decide which colour, why not try one from the Zoya Tickled Collection? These cute colours are sure to put a smile on your face.

5. The barely-there neutral shades
If you aren’t ready to commit to bold colours this summer, then you should be inspired by some of Marc Jacob’s latest runway, barely-there neutral shades. They might be softer but they have a high shine that will leave you feeling sophisticated. Our favourite shade is Baby Jane Mocha, goes with any outfit and is pretty, natural finish.
