Rayne – New Wine and Cocktail Bar on Wyndham

New bars and restaurants pop up and then disappear without trace seemingly every week on the super-popular nightlife strip that is Wyndham Street. In fact, so quick is the turnover that I can’t remember for the life of me what actually occupied the space that chic new bar Rayne has taken over! Someone fill me in please?! We know Rayne is likely to be a keeper though, as it is the brainchild of Cathal Kiely, who is also behind Solas, Irish bar Kila and new venture Shore on Queen’s Road. Named for Cathal’s newborn daughter, Rayne is aiming to add a bit of a feminine touch to Hong Kong’s nightlife – perfect then for Sassy girls!

The sleek decor of Rayne’s interior was designed by Natasha Usher of Nude Designs, a Hong Kong based design and architecture firm and inspired by the form of a woman with organic, comfortable and graceful elements and shapes. You’ll be able to spot some chinoiserie and art nouveau details in the water features, sculptural lights and signature furniture pieces. They’ve aimed to create a stylish bar and Lounge that embodies pure mystic beauty…

Rayne’s impressive cocktail list was designed by mixologist Alexandre Chatte to appeal to us bar butterflies, and they also have an extensive wine and champagne selection. They’ll be playing the latest lounge and house music and are promising top class service. We’re excited to check it out!
