If you have been up to the third floor of IFC recently, you may have noticed that it’s turning into Little France-town up there (aka Petit Paris). Well, that’s because our own resident Parisian, Ariane Zagury (the founder of Rue Madame), has taken over to show us Hong Kongers a thing or two about chic dressing, Gallic-style! In addition to Rue Madame, Sandro, and American Vintage, we can now shop at her latest addition to the style scene, Maje – and having tried to call it almost everything under the sun, we can officially state that it is pronounced Maj (like Taj Mahal)!
This is Maje’s first standalone boutique in HK and it stocks all the most stylish bits and pieces needed to make us look très élégant! Here’s a peek at what’s in stock this season…
How many of you went to your wardrobe in search of last year’s coat and were disappointed with what you found? Well, Maje has you sorted! Everything from cobalt blue moto jackets to camel capes are on hand to warm you up for these next few months of chill… And how warm do these alpine sweaters and furry vests look! Who cares if HK has no heaters? We will be sizzling in our new Maje finds!
The leather goods were to die for too. You can start small with a sleeve, collar or lapel and work your way up to the leather dresses! I love the masculine shapes of these coats – dressing tough was never made so easy. If you are more of a girly girl, pair the coats with pearls or a white floaty dress underneath for added femininity. For the leather dresses, just add a ruby red lip and a fab bedazzled clutch to go from goth to glam!
I also fell in love with these hot metallic items – these little silvery stunners are exactly what you need to give your holiday party wardrobe a boost. Pair the glitzy leather top with dark skinny jeans and a bootie for a chill dinner out with friends or try the shiny sequinned jacket with leather leggings and a long black slinky tunic top for a night of drinks and dancing. Meanwhile, for a major night on the town, this snowy white trouser suit with a cool silver accent would be perfect; gone are the days of not wearing white in the winter! I’m thinking this would be perfect to ring in the New Year – how fab would it look with some 2013 glasses and a feather and rhinestone tiara?!
Here are some other gorgeous Maje goods we spotted that we thought you might enjoy… And yes, they do carry a few accessories as well!
If you are in need of sprucing up your winter wardrobe, then be sure to pop by Maje this season. Prices in-store range from about $1500-4500, with coats obviously being the most expensive and dresses somewhere around the $2500 mark.
We are super excited to have so many cool new shops in IFC to choose from (thanks Ariane); I can’t wait to see what other treats the new year brings for the shopping scene in Hong Kong too!
