The trick is making sure that the pre-order limit is met by the designer’s deadline – this means you need to spread the word and persuade your friends to order some goodies as soon as possible too! Zaozao will also show you how close the item is to production; you won’t be charged until the item has been successfully funded and produced. Get more deets in our full article here.

No Net a Porter, Matches Fashion or mywardrobe.com?

I disagree that this list is the top 35, you could not say that some of the sites on this list are better than Net a Porter, for example.

  2. Christine says:

Thanks so much. As newby expat I have found shopping in Hong Kong to be a bit tedious to manage. This list’ll keep me busy today maybe longer…

  3. Em says:

That’s quite a poor list I must say.

Missing quite a lot of great sites like Netaporter, Backroom, MyTheresa, and Luxup that a lot of people I know shop at in Hong Kong!

  4. maria says:

net-a-porter, matches fashion and my-wardrobe.com all do not ship for free to hong kong

  5. Betty Ip says:

    Hey Oonagh,

Don’t you see many of them have PAID to be on the list? Come on……

    BI

  6. c says:

because those sites you mentioned are not free shipping….

  7. Rach says:

Hi Oonagh & Em – As Marcia & C have commented too, this list is a round-up of sites that do free shipping to HK; Netaporter, Matches, My Wardrobe and MyTheresa are great sites but do not ship here for free, whilst Luxup does not do deliveries at all. Who knows – we might even do another round-up of great fashion sites that aren’t free shipping in the future!

Em – Backroom does ship for free here so thanks for letting us know – we’re definitely putting that one on our radar for the future!

  8. Rach says:

    Hi Betty

We just wanted to make clear that NO company paid to be on this list. Our round-up is purely editorial, collated by our style blogger Sabrina, and based on the fashion websites we know about that offer free shipping to HK – of course, some of them are companies we have worked with or featured in the past (that’s how we know about them!) but they were not included because of that and absolutely no website paid to be part of this round-up.

All the fashion websites included here are ones that offer FREE shipping to HK and ones we thought our readers should bookmark when looking for online style boutiques that offer free delivery here – we’ve tried to include a range of all different brands, styles, tastes and price points so there is something for everyone.

Of course, we’re sure there are loads of other fab websites that do offer free shipping here that we aren’t aware of – which is why we have the comment at the end of the article encouraging all our readers to get in touch with more suggestions so we – and you! – can put them on our radar for the future. Maybe we will even collect enough to do a Part 2 featuring even more fantastic websites with free delivery in the future!

  9. Kely says:

Awesome rundown! How reliable are the shipping and quality with shops like Romwe? I’ve read some reviews on them and it doesn’t seem to be too much on the bright side, have you guys had personal experience from buying there?

    x

  10. maria says:

by the way, it would be fantastic to have a list for beauty websites as well! :)

  11. Rach says:

    Hi Kely

I just checked with Sabrina and she’s not personally bought from Romwe yet – although she liked the look of what she saw, so it’s probably only a matter of time :P

We’d love to hear about if anyone has had experience with Romwe – good or bad! – to let us know! Thanks!

  12. Rach says:

Hey Marcia – thanks for the suggestion! A couple of good options to start if you’re looking to beauty shop now are HQHair and Lookfantastic – we mentioned them in the post here: http://sassyhongkong.com/most-missed-make-up-favourites/

    We’ll start researching for more…!

  13. Hey Sabrina,

I want to see GlamGirl here! We now offer free shipping HK, and free shipping internationally for orders over $500 HKD. :) We have lots of curated fashion, and beauty products!

    Jenn

  14. Hey Sabrina,

I hope we will see NuageConcept on your next list! We always offer free shipping in HK. We bring unique and exclusive luxury French fashion jewelry!

    Chantal

  15. Polly says:

Any chance select some Korean online shops in the future? There are many cool Korea online shops, but so sad many of them not delivery to oversea or . I know Stylenanda (Free delivery to HK over USD50 in their Chinese website, USD300 in English website) & Zipia.net (Only delivery to oversea if order over USD300 and still need to paid the shipping fee) only, so it will be great if could know more other Korean online shops.

  16. sally says:

I agreed with a lot of the other commenters at first- it is definitely not comprehensive, and there are lots of more popular online shops out there (like NetaPorter!) than the ones listed, but I guess it is keeping with the subject at hand :) And Polly, I just came across this cute site I liked that ships Korean clothes to HK for orders over 150USD. Maybe you could check that one out- (http://www.sthsweet.com) I’m also into Korean shops- any chance you guys would do a rundown on those?!

  17. Rach says:

    Hi Sally

Thanks for the comment – at the time of writing, Net A Porter did not offer free delivery to Hong Kong and it seems the free shipping here may have been a special offer as we just checked and it’s back to being 20 pounds for express shipping here!

Given the massive range of online shops out there, we don’t think we could ever make a really truly comprehensive list as there are always going to be places we don’t know about/new places opening/new free shipping offers appearing (yay!) – the Internet is a huge place, after all! We do plan to do another free shipping round-up in the future so if you think of any more places you’ve tried that offer it, please let us know and we’d love to include them in our next list.
