I haven’t had bangs in forever. Nearly every single time I visit the salon for a trim I toy with the idea of chopping my locks and not surprisingly I back out of the idea. Seems like at least once a day I see a celebrity in a magazine or girl walking down the street with the perfect fringe, looking ever so stylish and I immediately get serious hair envy.
Over the weekend I stumbled upon this little video below about clip on bangs. Such an absolutely brilliant idea. Lucky enough I know that my stylist Shayne at Salon Chandler actually creates incredible clip in extensions to add length or volume to hair, so I’m adding these clip on bangs to my wish list. This is fantastic because then I can experiment with bangs without the torture of growing them back out if I don’t love the look!

I tried these out on my last trip to NY. So cute but the good ones were $300 US a pair and the cheapies (Jessica Simpson line at $40US/ pair) only came in three shades which all looked fake.
Ok bought the Jessica Simpson ones after I found that there were a ton more shades on offer. I found one that matched perfectly (chestnut) and tried 50 different ways to make them work and was left with nothing. The way they were tapered on the side was great because it really did blend in well. It was the fringe across the front that was a mess. It was too thin so you could see my hairline underneath. Thankfully, Ulta gave me a full refund. Still on the hunt for some fabulous faux fringe!
