Boutiques
If you ever get into a fashion rut here in Hong Kong then you must check out the below boutiques so you can feel stylish and fresh again. Our hope is that you are reading this before the fashion rut even happens because we have been in the rut and let us tell you…it was not pretty.
Soho/Noho: One of our favourite areas for Boutique Browsing!
Brand Boutique
41 Hollywood Road, Soho $/$
If you are in need of a new dress and don’t want to spend a fortune check out Brand Boutique. The store stocks last season styles of our favourite designers. While the inside label may be cut off we can still spot a BCBG dress from a mile away!
Buttonhole
56-60B Peel Street, Soho $/$
Very tiny but full of factory seconds so you can pick up a stylish DVF dress for about $500HK. You have to have patience and check in from time to time since the stock changes so often but it is definitely worth a visit!

Department Stores
There is just something about department stores that makes us happy. We get so excited as we make our way through the cosmetic counters to the shoe department and then on to the fashion sections! Below are some of our favourite department stores here in Hong Kong.
Marks and Spencer
28 Queens Road Central – 2921 8321 $$
Times Square Causeway Bay – 2923 7970
Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui – 2926 3346

Sogo
555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay – 2833 8338 $$
12 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui- 3556 1212
When people ask us where to get something here in HK, Sogo is many times on the top of our list. We love this store because it has everything from bed linens to cosmetics, to shoes to electronics. Warning: On weekends Sogo is swarmed by thousands – try to go on a weekday instead.
Harvey Nichols

We love Shanghai Tang for their modern take on Chinese style clothes. The fabulous basement floor of the Central branch houses accessories and home furnishings. If we ever need a gift to impress friends and relatives, Shanghai Tang is the place we head to first. Be warned, prices are on the high side so make sure you are willing to spend before venturing in.
Tailors
If we were to give you any advice at all we would suggest taking advantage of tailoring as soon as you can because it is fantastic! Below are a few tailors that have come recommended. A word of warning …we have found that getting something copied usually turns out better than making something from a picture.

33 Queens Road Central, 2/F, Melbourne Plaza – 2522 8838 $
This is the place to go if you need alterations made on your favourite dress. If you can’t afford to get a custom made dress go to Ann & Bon and have them make your own dress fit perfectly on you!
Gorgeous by Lydia

When we meet a stylish girl we almost always inquire if she has a tailor. We discovered Gorgeous by Lydia this way and after hearing wonderful reviews we just had to try her out for ourselves. Our first test was with a dress that was already in one of our closets and it came out wonderfully so we are now looking for inspiration on what we want Lydia to make for us next!
