A Boy Named Sue – cool clothes with a conscience!

14 November, 2012

As most eco girls know, sustainability and fashion are often thought to be at complete odds with each other. Well, a fab new online boutique is out to change all that! A Boy Named Sue is all about beautiful pieces made with integrity – ‘cause cool clothes with a conscience DO exist!

Featuring a curated selection of eco and socially conscious clothing labels from Brooklyn to Berlin and beyond, A Boy Named Sue offers everything from the edgy and adventurous pieces of German brand Thu Thu, to the unapologetically simple and laidback West Coast threads of Groceries Apparel – and lots in between!

Created by style blogger friends Tania (who used to write for us!) and Sam right here in Hong Kong, this online boutique is gearing up to be one of our go-to sites for finding fabulous fashion finds from up and coming eco designers. Prices start at around $250-350 for tops, with dresses, trousers and chunky cardies around $1,500-2000, whilst the girls offer free next day-shipping within HK if you order before 11am – instant shopping gratification!

We already have a virtual wish list that is filling up, so we are looking forward to stopping by their pop-up party and launch event this Thursday and guess what… you’re invited too!

To celebrate the opening of their online shop, the girls from A Boy Named Sue are hosting a pop-up party and shopping shindig at the Time & Space Gallery in Sai Ying Pun.  Browse their Fall/Winter ’12 collections, nibble on some comfort food and sip some homemade mulled cider (yummmm!), plus get some style tips from the girls from The Changing Room.  And just for busy folks who can’t break out for an evening affair, they’re offering a special lunch hour slot from 12-3pm too.

All the details…

When: Thursday, 15 November, 6:30-9pm (with a special lunch hour slot from 12-3pm – sweet!)
Where: Time & Space Gallery, Shop 5, 6-24 Po Tuck Street (off Hill Road and Pok Fu Lam Road), Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong
